My name is Zubeida Dasgupta and I am an Educational Psychologist (EP) and a Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) practitioner, supervisor and trainer, accredited by AVIGuk. I offer a high quality, affordable and flexible educational psychology service to families, schools, colleges and nurseries. Through liaising directly with me I can listen to your individual needs and create a tailor made package to help you reach your goals. Who do I work with? I work with children and young people aged 0-19. Parents, educational staff and other professionals usually contact me when they have worries or questions about a child's learning, behaviour, emotional or social development. What do I do? I think EPs can be most effective when they work with the adults who support the children and young people as well as the children themselves. I usually work in the home or in the educational setting because it helps make sure that interventions are more effective. I have links with a range of other professionals (e.g. Speech and Language therapist, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists). When necessary I am able to seek advice, refer on or work jointly with them. Who am I? I am an independent psychologist but have experience of working within Local Authority Educational Psychology Services. My particular interests include:
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist and am a member of the British Psychology Society. I also have a Disclosure and Barring Service check. My work is supervised and I continue to learn through a range of professional development activities. As a mother of three young children I have experienced first hand the joys and the challenges of bringing up children. |
